The Free Machine is my effort to take over 30 years of computer experience, immersion in the technology field, audio, music, graphics, IT and engineering experience, and use it to compile an archive of some of the most useful applications and ideas available today. The internet makes this exponentially more possible than it has ever been in the years past with the advent of higher speed, social networking, search engine technology and optimization, faster computers, and just plain better technology.
My goal is to provide as much of this as possible for free, but the term The Free Machine more deeply stands for just that: removing limitations from your computing environment by applying applications that allow you to do more with less. Commercial software is notoriously bloated and expensive, and often takes ridiculously large amounts of space and resources. There are numerous alternatives in the world of open source and freeware that parallel and even sometimes rival its commercial counterpart.
